Fantasy creatures

Six creatures with a mind of their own

Real proportions, light and shadow – more trading card than cuddly toy. Every creature has its own food and a quirk. Things may happen: cheeky, but never bad, never final and never something money can skip.

  • Astra and Nox are free; Ignis, Volt, Kiro and Marea are part of the Animal friends pack

Transformation

Three forms – Astra as an example

Learning and movement bring levels, and the creature transforms visibly. Never reversed, never for sale – and it takes patience: the second form after about a week, the third after a few weeks.

Maths by age

From times tables to percentages and equations

The age set in the parent area determines the starting level and the tasks – roughly following German curricula for school years 3 to 7. After that the level adapts to your child’s skills.

  • Parents can set it one level easier or harder
  • Combos and best times give extra XP, never a penalty – both can be switched off
  • Plus stories and quizzes for older kids – new every day with the subscription, with an archive of the last 30 days

Playing

Six games worth taking seriously

Clean arcade look, every game with levels 1 to 10 and a best score per level. Level 10 is called “prodigy”.

  • The starting level depends on age. Win three times and the next level is suggested; lose three times and an easier one – no penalty
  • Choosing a higher level is always possible
Chess lesson: the knight moves in an L shape

Chess

Learn chess in ten steps

The lesson round shows every piece, capturing, check and checkmate and castling – with exercises. Then it’s on against Nox, from level 1 to 10, or two players on one phone.

  • A puzzle every day: mate in 2
Swarm Defence: a spaceship fends off an advancing swarm

Friends leaderboard · from 9

Better than your friends?

Connected with friends, you can see who is ahead this week – but only if you allow it in the parent area. It is off by default.

  • Player name built from word blocks, e.g. “Swift Star Fox 42” – no real names, no free input
  • Friends only via code or QR code; your child accepts requests, only friends see the scores
  • The list starts afresh every week
  • In the parent area you can see the friends list and remove friends
  • At age 8 there are only personal best scores, without a server
Camera (example): a fantasy creature sits on the desk in the real camera image

Camera

The creature in the real world

The creature appears in the camera image – on the desk or in a selfie. Move, rotate, resize, choose a pose, snap.

  • Photos stay on the phone – no upload, no face recognition
  • Only if you allow the camera in the parent area

For parents

You make the rules. The app sticks to them.

Everything important is in the parent area – behind a gate children can’t just click away: hold for two seconds, then solve a maths question for adults.

  • Bedtime

From–to in quarter hours. Then the pet sleeps too, and sounds get quieter beforehand.

  • Play time per day

15 to 90 minutes or no limit. You decide whether learning counts – otherwise learning carries on afterwards.

  • Bonus time they earn

Learning points and steps turn into minutes – you set how many (by default at most 60 a day, adjustable 15–180). You release the minutes yourself, e.g. in Google Family Link; the log shows the last 7 days. NixTier doesn’t block any other apps.

  • Weekly overview

Points per subject and steps per day, calculated on the device. If you like, compare anonymously with children of the same age – only with your yes.

  • Learning made to measure

Subjects on and off, font size 80–160 %, read aloud, difficulty one level easier or harder. Time pressure and combos can be switched off.

  • Movement

Daily step goal from 1,000 to 10,000. Counted only while the app is open, without location.

  • Friends and camera

Friends leaderboard (from 9) and camera (from 8) only with your permission. Your child accepts friend requests; you see the friends list and can remove friends. Switching it off deletes all of it.

  • Purchases only by you

Extras, codes, subscription status and cancelling – all in the parent area. Your child sees no prices and no buy buttons.

No account, no date of birth – just the age in years. No ads, no tracking.
